About MS4ICT
A published methodology built from field practice
Origin of the methodology
MS4ICT (Management System for ICT) is a management and governance methodology developed over time.
It is the result of more than ten years of structuring, usage and progressive refinement, across multiple contexts of ICT governance, risk management and compliance.
Through this work, a central observation emerged:
governance challenges do not stem from technology, but from fragmented frameworks, responsibilities and information.
MS4ICT was developed to connect what already exists, rather than creating additional frameworks.
Nature and purpose
MS4ICT is a published methodology, designed to:
- structure the reading of ICT governance
- clarify responsibilities and decisions
- connect frameworks, risks and obligations
- restore global and sustainable coherence
It is not a tool or a solution, but a methodological framework for understanding and structuring governance.
Scope of application
MS4ICT is designed to be:
- applicable to organisations of all sizes
- independent of sectors
- usable alongside existing frameworks
- adaptable to both simple and complex environments
Its logic is based on universal governance and risk principles, not on technical or organisational constraints.
Positioning
MS4ICT:
- is not a project methodology
- is not a consulting service
- is not an implementation offering
- is not an operational tool
It is part of a methodological publication approach, focused on understanding, analysis and explanation.
Publication approach
The method is shared through a non-operational logic:
- progressive formalisation
- publication of reference content
- distribution of methodological resources
The objective is to provide a framework for understanding, not a turnkey solution.
