About MS4ICT
A published ICT management and governance methodology
MS4ICT (Management System for ICT) is a published management and governance methodology designed to address a central challenge faced by modern organisations:
restoring coherence in ICT governance in an environment fragmented by the multiplication of frameworks, regulations and management systems.
MS4ICT is not a service offering, not a consulting activity, and not an implementation method.
It is a documented methodological framework intended to structure the understanding, reading and explanation of ICT governance over time.
Why MS4ICT
Over the past years, organisations have been confronted with:
- an increasing number of standards and frameworks (ISO/IEC, ENISA, NIST, etc.),
- growing regulatory pressure (NIS2, DORA, GDPR, AI Act…),
- the coexistence of multiple management systems (ISMS, AIMS, QMS, BCMS…),
- extensive duplication of information and analyses,
- governance fragmented across functions and responsibilities.
MS4ICT emerged from a simple observation:
???? the problem is not the lack of frameworks,
???? but the absence of a management system capable of connecting what already exists, without recreating silos.
The DNA of MS4ICT
MS4ICT is built on three core principles:
Risk as a common foundation
All ICT governance frameworks ultimately converge on risk management, whether explicitly or implicitly.Coherence through links, not centralisation
MS4ICT does not replace existing tools or repositories; it creates explicit links between obligations, responsibilities, risk events, risks and decisions.Single information, multiple views
A single piece of information can be read and interpreted differently depending on roles and responsibilities (ICT, risk, compliance, legal, executive management), without being duplicated or redefined.
A management system, not a project approach
MS4ICT is not:
- a project methodology,
- a deployment or implementation guide,
- an operational tool,
- a turnkey solution.
It is a management system, independent of projects, technologies and organisational structures, designed to structure ICT governance over time.
A publication and knowledge‑sharing approach
MS4ICT is disseminated through a publication‑driven approach, including:
- formal description of the management system,
- documentation of the coherence engine,
- analytical and conceptual articles,
- methodological resources and publications.
The objective is to share a reference framework, promote a common governance language, and contribute to a more readable and integrated approach to ICT governance, particularly in the European regulatory context.
